Champagne Moments respects your right of privacy and we are committed in protecting it. This Privacy Policy Web (the “Policy”) describes the privacy practices of the Champagne Moments App (the “App”). The Policy applies to all the types of information collected from you while you are using the App and to the way in which Champagne Moments uses and shares this information.

We recommend that you read the following carefully to understand our Policy and how we treat personal information. This Policy does not apply to any information that Champagne Moments collect offline and/or through other means. It also does not apply to the information collected by another affiliated or third-party website or application that may link to or be accessible from the App.

Champagne Moments IVS is the controller for Personal Data collected via the App.

Your Consent

By using the App, you agree that whenever you voluntarily or passively submit Personal Data and information via the App and its features, Champagne Moments can use, collect and disclose that information in accordance with this Policy.

The Personal Data we collect from you

Personal Data refers to any information about an individual that can identify that person. Personal Data does not include information where the identity has been removed and where the Data has been anonymized.

The App May collect the following information from you. For your convenience we have grouped the information as follows:

  2. Provided data
  3. Technical data
  4. Usage data
  5. Communication data

1. Your account

Information Collected Upon creating an account: When you create or reconfigure your Champagne Moments account, you provide us with Personal Data, such as profile name, name, profile image, password, biography and email address. Some of this Personal Data for example, profile name, name, profile image and biography, is listed publicly on the App, and will hereby be accessible for other users to see on your profile page.

We have made it possible for you to control and edit the Personal Data that we hold about you from the User Settings Page on the User Profile.

2. Provided data

When using our App you can choose to provide more information that will be linked to your account. This information is voluntary and will only be collected if you decide to submit it.

This extra information includes: Champagne ratings, tasting notes, following, followers, likes and comments.

By default, the information you provide will be public for as long as you do not delete it from the App. Upon deletion, the deleted data will be instantly removed from the app, however, the events performed in the system will persist as historical events. Therefore think carefully about what you comment or write to a champagne tasting, because it will be instantly public.

3. Technical Data

The App passively collects information about your device, version, connection (Wifi, 3G, 4G, etc.) and your IP address. It’s necessary for system administration, security and improvements so we can provide you with the best possible experience when using the App from example an iPhone 8 Plus on 3G connection. We will also be using it to benchmark with previous periods and analyse for patterns.

4. Usage Data

The App passively collects usage data. It’s necessary and in our interest to always provide you with the best possible experience when using the App. The information collected is used to analyse the App with the goal to identify how we can build future features, place content, define types of customers for our service, benchmark with previous periods and to improve our marketing strategy.

5. Communication Data

If you email us, submit a brand or give feedback through the App, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request.

When installing the App on your phone you give us your consent to send you push notifications from Champagne Moments on your phone. When signing up to Champagne Moments you provide an email address, you give us your consent to send you newsletters to your email.

You may choose not to receive future newsletters from us by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of each email that you receive from us. You may as well choose not to receive future notification from us on your phone by turning Push notification off on the User Setting Page inside the App.

We do not sell your communication data to 3rd parties you will only receive communication from Champagne Moments.

Retention Period

We will retain your Personal Data for the length of time needed to fulfil the purposes we have collected it for, including for the purpose of satisfying any legal, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. If we find it necessary we will retain your Personal Data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe that we would need it for the purpose of our relationship with you.

When determining the retention period for the Personal Data you voluntarily or passively provide us, we consider the amount of Data, the nature and sensitivity of the Personal Data, the potential risk of harm to you from unauthorised use or disclosure of your Personal Data along with the purposes for why we process your Personal Data.

International Transfers

We may transfer your Personal Data to our third party service providers outside the European Economic Area (EEA). For example, we employ service providers who help us with electronic and postal mail service, marketing services and media services.

This may involve transferring your Personal Data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We only engage or interact with third party service providers and partners that post a privacy policy governing their processing of Personal Data.

When we transfer your Personal Data out of the European Economic Area (EEA), we will ensure that the transfer follows the applicable laws.


We have adopted the appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your Personal Data stored on our App.

We limit the access to your Personal Data to those employees and other parties who have a business or legal need to know.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected Personal Data breach and will notify you of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Your legal rights

In some circumstances, you have the rights under data protection laws and certain local laws (including the GDPR) to your Personal Data if you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA). The rights differ by country/region but may include the rights to:

1. Request access

You have the right to request access to your Personal Data (This request is known as “data subject access request”). If requested you ask us to give you a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you and for what purpose we are processing it.

2. Request correction

For your convenience, we have made it possible for you to control the Personal Data that we hold about you from the User Settings Page on the User Profile. If you have any questions regarding the Personal Data or how to correct it, please contact us at [email protected]

3. Request erasure

You have the right at any time to revoke your consent to this Policy and be forgotten. If requested you ask us to remove or anonymous your Personal Data where there is no good reason for us to continuing to process it. You may submit a request using the contact information found in the last section.

When you decide to have your account terminated all Personal Data will be removed. The User Content you have submitted which can be fully anonymized will not be removed. This User Content include but not limited to likes and tastings. The User Content will no longer be traceable back to your account.

Be aware that if you decide to opt out and just delete the App from your phone, your account, User Content and Personal Data will still remain on our servers. Therefore if you want to have your Personal Data removed, you need to request to have your account terminated.

You can at any time choose to opt out or change the way you prefer to receive communication from the App. This can be done from the User Settings Page under Push Notifications and Email Notifications.

Age requirement for use of the App

To navigate and consume the content on the App, you must be of the legal age defined by your country’s laws governing the consumption of alcohol. In certain countries, it is prohibited to use and consume an App such as Champagne Moments, because local laws restrict the promotion of alcoholic beverages. If you are not familiar with your country’s laws on this subject, we recommend that you consult your rights before you start to use and consume the App.

Champagne Moments is not a community created for persons under the age of 13. If we become aware that a person under the age of 13 have created a profile and provided us with his or her personal information, we will take the necessary steps to remove or anonymous such information and terminate the account. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time at our sole discretion. The most current version of the Policy will govern how we use your information and will always be available at ( If this Policy changes, the revised Policy will be posted on the Website ( and we will notify you via a community update inside the App and an email to the address associated with your account. Please check back periodically and/or before you provide any personally identifiable information. By continuing to access or use the App after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Policy.
